CMAS - Athletes general informations
The 11th French Freediving Championship returns to the beautiful harbor of Villefranche-sur-Mer, France on Friday, June 28th, and Saturday, June 29th, 2024.
Here's how to be part of the action :
Event : CMAS Open Freediving Competition (open to qualified freedivers)

Number of Participants : Limited to 42 athletes
Registration :
Opens: April 28th, 2024 at 9:00 AM CEST (Central European Summer Time)
Closes: May 19th, 2024 at 11:00 PM CEST

Selection Process :
Organizers will select 42 athletes based on their pre-registration information and minimum performance requirements.
Any remaining spots after selection will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Selected freedivers will be notified by email with a payment link and a registration file. This file must be completed and returned by June 2nd, 2024.

May 19th : Registration closes
June 2nd : Deadline to return completed registration file
Event Day – 1 : Mandatory athlete meeting (details to be confirmed)

Eligibility Requirements :
Possess a valid CMAS license and individual deep apnea competition insurance.
Have a current medical certificate issued by a Sports or Hyperbaric doctor, specifically for competitive deep apnea.
Submit a complete registration file by the deadline.
Registration fees must be paid in full.
Registration fees : €100 per day for CMAS athletes
Minimum performance required to register:
CNF: Women 35m Men 45m
FIM: Women 50m Men 60m
CWT bi-fins: Women 50m Men 65m
CWT monofin: Women 60m Men 80m
Understanding and Agreement : You confirm that you have read and agree to follow the competition rules set by the federation and CMAS for freediving championships.
Image Rights : By registering, you grant the organizers permission to use photos and videos taken during the competition. This includes use in print, digital media, athlete bios, and other promotional materials approved by FFESSM.
